Guided Fallow Deer Hunting in Tasmania – Herne Lodge

Private Deer Hunting Lodge

Are you looking for a new hunting experience in the wild highlands of Tasmania? Herne Lodge is the first and only deer hunting lodge in Tasmania that offers on-property access to wild fallow deer, luxury accommodation and expert guiding.

The hunting ranch has 2,500 hectares of private land where you can go wild. Herne Lodge is on ‘St Patricks Plains’ at the Steppes in the heart of the wilderness of the Central Highlands of Tasmania and in easy distance of renowned fly fishing waters and World Heritage areas.

Guided Deer Stalking and Small Game Hunts

Fallow deer stags and does, possums, wallabies, and rabbits graze around the lodge to tempt you as you luxuriate by the roaring open fire.

Herne Lodge is a wild and untouched environment where fallow deer proliferate and the stags are known for their even, high-scoring trophy heads. Careful game management also ensures that animals grow to their full potential. Native animals and birds abound, such as wallabies, possums, wombats, echidnas, wedge-tailed eagles and currawongs. Hunters are welcome to bring non-hunting partners to enjoy the private tranquillity and luxury of this secluded property.
